Terms of Service

21 June 2026

Welcome to Snifr., an app to help dogs and their humans meet, walk together and discover dog-friendly parks. These Terms govern your use of Snifr. The service is operated by Daniel Furne Silva, a natural person with Spanish tax ID (NIF) 47916076S and address at Calle Tarragona 26, bajos 1, 17403 Sant Hilari Sacalm, Spain. For legal matters write to legal@snifr.dog.

1. Who can use Snifr.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Snifr. account. Snifr. is not designed for minors and we will close any account we suspect belongs to someone under 18.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account.

2. Your account and your dog profiles

You can create one personal account and add one or more dog profiles. The information you publish (photos, name, breed, traits) must be truthful and must not infringe anyone's rights.

You keep ownership of your content, but you grant Snifr. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and adapt it solely to operate the service.

3. Co-humans and shared dogs

Snifr. lets you invite another adult as a co-human or co-owner of a dog. That person will be able to edit the dog's profile, see its walks history and respond to matches.

Both people must be 18+ and have a Snifr. account. As the inviter you are responsible for making sure the invitee accepts these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

4. Matches, Walkies and meetings in real life

Snifr. facilitates introductions but does not screen users. Meetings, Walkies (in-person walks arranged through the app) and any other in-person activity happen at your own risk.

You agree to behave respectfully, to keep your dog under control and to follow local laws about leashes, vaccination and public spaces.

5. Pro subscription and consumables

Snifr. offers a free tier and a paid plan (Snifr. Pro), plus optional consumables such as Super Sniff and Spotlight. Pricing, billing cycle and renewal terms are shown before purchase.

In-app purchases on iOS and Android are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play under their own rules; refunds follow each store's policy. Purchases on the Snifr. website are processed by Stripe and, as a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw under the Spanish Consumer Protection Act, unless you ask us to start the digital service immediately and acknowledge that doing so waives your right of withdrawal once the service is delivered.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to harass other users, post illegal or sexual content, impersonate anyone, scrape the service, sell dogs through Snifr. or use it for any commercial purpose without our written consent.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice depending on the severity.

7. Park data and third-party content

Park information shown in Snifr. comes from third-party sources. OpenStreetMap data is provided by "© OpenStreetMap contributors" under the ODbL licence. Google Places data is provided under the Google Maps APIs Terms of Service.

We do our best to keep parks up to date but we cannot guarantee that opening hours, fences or amenities are correct.

8. Service availability and changes

Snifr. is offered "as is". We try to keep it running smoothly but we can change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

When a change has a material impact on paid users we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a refund of unused time.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Snifr. is not liable for damages caused by other users, by your dog or by your use of third-party content.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence or rights that consumers cannot waive under Spanish or EU law.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the in-app settings. We can suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or for legal reasons.

Clauses that should reasonably survive (intellectual property, liability, applicable law) remain in force after termination.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. As a consumer you can bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence; for professional users, the competent courts will be those agreed in writing.

The European Commission offers an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Contact

For anything legal or related to your data: legal@snifr.dog. For everything else: support@snifr.dog, or hi@snifr.dog if you prefer a friendlier channel.
